Ms Kenny/O’Hagan’s students got the chance to visit the garden today across the park. Our lovely local gardener Philip Jennings showed us a few tricks. We got to remove the seeds from some marigold plants. We will dry them and store them until they are ready to plant in March.
The students also planted some cut offs from last years strawberry plants which they brought home to grow themselves. Hopefully they will be eating their own home grown strawberries next spring!!!
Thanks so much to Phillip for taking such great care of the local garden. We can’t wait to get back there in the springtime.
