22/12/2016

For our Christmas performance, Ms Reid's 5th class took on the mannequin challenge. It was hard to keep a straight face but we pulled it off :)

Christmas Concerts

21/12/2016

The whole school was in for a collection of treats this year with humourous Christmas plays, assorted performances, songs, dances, poetry, the school choir and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. All in all, it provided a very festive atmosphere and ensured that everyone was feeling the spirit of Christmas! Many thanks to parents, grandparents and siblings who came along to support the children in the 3rd & 4th class concert and also the 5th & 6th class concert!

Christmas Baking

15/12/2016

Ms. McDonell and Ms. Mongan took some children to the school kitchen recently so that they could try their hand at baking some festive gingerbread men. The children measured out, whisked, rolled, cut and iced and also helped with the cleaning up afterwards! Some of them even had a dance to the tunes of Christmas FM!

Carol Service in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre

13/12/2016

The choir of St. Patrick's Senior School certainly turned heads recently with their beautiful singing and performance of well-known Christmas Carols. They sang in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre where they provided a lovely festive atmosphere for the shoppers. They also raised some money for our school and there was great support from parents and grandparents alike. Many thanks too to the teachers, Ms. Mulderrig, Ms. Duignan and Ms. McAuliffe, who have been helping the children in the choir throughout the year.

A trip to the National Indoor Arena

13/12/2016

Our students were very lucky recently to have been invited over to the FZ Forza Irish Open in the National Indoor Arena which is part of the nearby National Sports Campus. The children got to see international badminton players in games of singles and doubles. Some of them even spotted Irish professional Scott Evans arrive to watch one of the matches. We are really fortunate to have such wonderful amenities so close to our school.

Christmas Bazaar

9/12/2016

The annual Christmas Bazaar was again a huge success. in the run-up to the day, parents, teachers and students had been bringing in anything they were finished with at home as a donation. The Bazaar was full of previously loved toys, books, games, dvds, bags, ornaments and much more. The school hall was alive with the sounds of children buying Christmas presents and the smells of baked goods. There was also a raffle with fabulous prizes. By the end of the day, the bazaar had raised €1413 in total! This handsome sum was evenly split between three worthy causes: The Girl Guides, LauraLynn and our school. Many thanks to all involved who donated items for sale and who also donated their time in running and organising the Bazaar.
